Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez sent condolences today to the Austrian people and government for the loss of life due to terrorist attacks that occurred Monday in the capital of that country.

On his Twitter account, he transmitted his extensive solidarity to the relatives of the deceased on behalf of the island.

This Monday, Vienna, capital of Austria, was shocked by an armed attack carried out by men with long weapons, which so far has left five dead and 17 wounded.

The attack began in the vicinity of the Seitenstettengasse synagogue, the most important temple of Judaism in the country, but according to statements by Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, there were actions at six different points in the city center.

Several countries expressed their condemnation of the terrorist attack, among them France, Italy, Brazil, India, Egypt and Serbia.

Pope Francis also expressed his pain and dismay through a message on his Twitter account, where he specified that he prays for the victims and their families.

'Enough with violence! Let us build peace and fraternity together. Only love extinguishes hatred,' wrote the Supreme Pontiff on the social network.
