Cuba reports 3,059 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths

Cuba on Saturday reported 3,059 new Covid-19 cases, accounting for an increase of 260 patients compared to the previous day, and two deaths.

The number of patients in hospitals or at home is 28,746, 14,192 of whom are suspected cases, 132 are under epidemiological surveillance and 14,422 are confirmed active patients (148 fewer than on the previous day), according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Health Public (MINSAP).

Of the total number of cases on Friday, 3,014 were confirmed contacts, 24 were infected abroad and in 21 cases the origin of the contagion could not be determined.

Medical authorities discharged 3,331 patients (272 more than the number of cases), so 1,016,761 people (97.8 percent of all those confirmed with the disease) have recovered from the disease.
