Havana, May 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Monday reported 72 new Covid-19 cases, accounting for a decrease of 21 compared to Sunday's report, and no deaths due to complications related to the disease in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), 2,089 patients are in hospitals or at home nationwide, 1,596 of whom are suspected cases, 25 are under epidemiological surveillance and 468 are active cases.

Regarding the new cases, 68 were contacts of confirmed patients, two were infected abroad and the source of contagion was not identified in two cases.

Of the active cases, 62 patients are clinically stable, while 10 are being treated in intensive care units: one in a critical condition and nine who are seriously ill.
