Cuba reported 103 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Thursday reported 103 new Covid-19 cases, totaling 1,109,752 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in Cuba in March 2020.

According to the MINSAP website, 364 of 368 active cases nationwide are clinically stable, while four patients are being treated in intensive care units: two are in a critical condition and two who are seriously ill.

MINSAP added that 85 patients were discharged from hospitals, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,100,796 (99.0 percent of all cases).

It added that 582 patients are in hospitals or at home nationwide, 214 of whom are suspected cases.

According to MINSAP, no deaths were reported as a result of the disease in the last 24 hours, so the death toll remains at 8,529.
