Cuba: Prosecutor's Office takes actions to fight Covid-19
The deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Cuba, Alina Montesinos, said on Wednesday that the institution is taking control actions to fight Covid-19 and enforce the measures adopted amid the ongoing epidemiological situation.
The lawyer said on the Hacemos Cuba TV program that until April 30, 217 control actions had been taken nationwide as part of the organization of the work of the Prosecutor's Office under the current circumstances.
Montesinos added that the work targets farmer's markets, health and family care centers, and other institutions that take care of vulnerable people.
She pointed out that crowds at food shops and the labor treatment during the Covid-19 pandemic are the people's main concerns.
The Prosecutor's Office is organizing the work around the current situation with such tasks as receiving people's complaints and warning the pertinent authorities, Montesinos explained.
