Cuba to participate in junior world handball championship qualifiers

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 8 (ACN) The Cuban junior men's handball team will participate in the qualifiers for the World Championships, to be held on December 12 to 17 in Mexico City.
 
National handball commissioner Franklin Guevara told ACN that the tournament will give two places for the World Championships and one for the Intercontinental event.
 
With five members of the team that finished fourth in the 1st Junior Pan Am Games (Colombia, 2021), the Cubans will strive in Mexico to get the ticket to those two major competitions next year.
 
Team Cuba will be in pool B alongside Martinique, Puerto Rico and Mexico, whereas pool A features the United States, Guadeloupe, Dominica and Greenland
