Cuba mourns aftermaths of Mexico offshore earthquake

Havana, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez offered his country's deepest condolences and solidarity with Mexico following a magnitude 7.4 offshore earthquake hit the North American nation.

Rodriguez, who is in New York to attend the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), offered his heartfelt condolences, via Twitter, to the Mexican government and the victim’s relatives and friends.

We have been acquainted with the earthquake in Mexico, causing some material damage, as one deaths is being reported so far, Bruno Rodríguez tweeted.

The magnitude-7.4 tremor, which shook southwest Mexico, was felt 63 km off south of Coalcoman, in Michoacán, and strongly felt in the Mexican capital, according to press reports.

In a video posted on Twitter, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador specified information is being gathered at this moment. We wish with all our hearts that nothing serious has happened, he live-tweeted.
