Cuba kicks off International Transport and Logistics Fair

Havana, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) The International Transport and Logistics Fair, FITL 2022, kicks off in Cuba on Tuesday in the presence of entrepreneurs from 12 countries, non-state management forms in the national economy, and Cuban residents abroad.

The event brings together representatives of the sector at the Pabexpo fairgrounds to identify business opportunities, financing channels, cooperation projects, and investments that will help boost the development of transportation in the country, which has been seriously affected by the tightened US blockade.

According to the organizers, this is a specialized fair to favor the consolidation of existing projects or those under negotiation, to provide better transportation to the population and successful performance of economy.

Among the issues to discuss at the fair are sustainable mobility of passengers and cargo, modernization of transportation means and infrastructures.

The use of renewable energies, repair and manufacture of spare parts and aggregates, the supply chains’ efficiency and logistics in general, and new technologies associated with services are also included.

The event aims to encourage the development of the different sectors of economy, promote foreign direct investment, boost international cooperation and attract financing for the development of infrastructure, and stimulate and diversify exports of goods and services.

The portfolio of foreign investment projects in transportation and the project management for international cooperation in the sector will be presented during the fair.
