Havana, Mar 30 (Prensa Latina) The 3rd International Educational Film Festival in Cuba (MICE), scheduled from March 27 to April 9, is being dedicated to an audiovisual festival for children, adolescents and young people in order to meet their communication needs.

Taking into account certain demands from the future generations and with an ever-increasing global level, the forum is being held in two Cuban provinces, one of which is eastern Holguin, where a large part of the project is taking place.

In addition to being an important tourist destination, Holguin represents an essential artery within the nation with strong roots in the promotion of environmental, geological and ecological education.

In order to take advantage of the promotion of these areas in the community environment, the municipality of Gibara, with vast audiovisual experience, was specifically chosen, to reach the most remote towns, especially in the first stages of life.

One of the events during the 3rd MICE is the collaboration with the “Environmental Connection” of the Audiovisual Voices Project, which has been the venue since 2002 of the International Cine Pobre Film Festival, created by Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solas (1941-2008), and a host of the Caverna Benavides Festival since 2009.

The other place chosen for MICE is Havana, where an extensive program will be held for children, adolescents and young people, including a workshop on production for hearing impaired children, the MICE Galapagos Exhibition: Ecological, Inclusive and Accessible, and the Robotic Design Workshop.

There are many exhibitions, virtual meetings and experimental events on climate change, all aimed at achieving greater interaction with nature from an early age.
