Cuba and Portugal Celebrate 104 Years of Diplomatic Relations

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday celebrates the 104th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Portugal.

On Twitter, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reiterated its willingness to continue expanding the existing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples and nations.

Havana and Lisbon have historically maintained close ties that extend to several sectors, such as health care, where they recently signed a memorandum of understanding to promote medical and biopharmaceutical cooperation.

Portugal has supported Cuba at the United Nations and other forums every year condemning the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
