Havana, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) Cuban and Jamaican companies from the medical sector held an entrepreneurial forum on Friday, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba (CCC) and the Jamaican Embassy in Havana.

On its Twitter account, the CCC described the meeting as fruitful, as it allowed continuing strengthening the ties of cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was chaired by CCC International Relations Director Celia Labora.

In another twit, she said that the meeting among companies from the two countries contributed to strengthening trade in the medical sector.

She noted that it was a fruitful meeting, with a good assessment on the activity and opportunities of Cuban products in that market.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, 419 Cuban health collaborators guarantee the Jamaican people's health coverage, as proved by 7,068 lives saved, and 375,037 patients assisted in the first ten months of this year.

Cuba and Jamaica established diplomatic relations in December 1972. Since then, they have shared links of cooperation in several fields of life.
