Brazil is paralyzed and out of control, Lula states
He regretted the existence of families who put stones on the pavement to cook. 'People cannot afford gasoline. People are burning themselves with alcohol. It is unbelievable that a canister of gas can cost 135 reais (almost 26 dollars). The country is out of control,' Lula reiterated.
The founder of the Workers' Party acknowledged that he cannot sleep peacefully while people, who used to be so happy, cannot buy food.
'It is not possible that in the country with the most head of cattle in the world, people can no longer eat meat,' he lamented and pointed out that his concern is currently the empty bellies of Brazilians, because those who are hungry are in a hurry.
Lula revealed that he is constantly asked about polls and 'now I am not worried about the elections. Honestly, I don't care whether I'm in first position or not,' he emphasized.
According to a survey by the Datafolha Institute, conducted from September 13 to 15, 85 percent of Brazilians have reduced their food consumption since early this year. jg/omr/rgh/ocs
