Book on writer Jorge Luis Borges at literary event in Cuba

The book "Valoracion Multiple sobre Jorge Luis Borges" (Multiple Assessment on Jorge Luis Borges), edited by Alfredo Alonso and published by "Casa de las America" Editorial Fund, will be launched at the traditional Sabado del Libro (Saturday Book) literary event in Havana on Saturday.
The launch, organized by the Cuban Book Institute (ICL), will take place on Calle de Madera, next to the Arms Square in Old Havana, at 11:00 hours, local time.
Jorge Fornet, director of the Literary Research Center at the Havana-based Casa de las Americas, and Claudia Torras Mendoza, editor of the Editorial Fund at that cultural institution and of the book, will be in charge of the book launch.
Borges, who was born in Buenos Aires on August 24, 1899, and died in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 14, 1986, was an Argentine short-story writer, essayist, and poet. He was awarded the Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 1979 in recognition of the importance of his literary work.
