Athletics: Second and third place for Cubans in start of winter tour

Second place for sprinter Shainer Reginfo and third place for short hurdler Keily Perez marked the debut of Cuban athletics in the winter athletics tour in the current year 2023.

In the indoor Grand Prix City of Valencia, in Spain, Reginfo clocked 6.64 seconds in the semifinals of the 60 meters and then in the final 6.71, to escort the Spanish Sergio Lopez (6.70).

In the case of Perez, she made a successful debut in one of the heats of the 60 m hurdles, with 8.31, but in the podium she finished third with a time of 8.52 seconds.
