Pitbull and Santana, the latter nominated for the Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album and Best Long Form Music Video awards, will come on with an act that, according to The Latin Recording Academy, will be "unforgettable."

The awards ceremony, to be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 20, will also feature a duo performance by Spanish singer Miguel Bose and the American-born Mexican singer-songwriter Pepe Aguilar.

Miguel Bose and Pepe Aguilar will sing "Siempre en Mi Mente," a number included in the album "Pepe Aguilar: MTV Unplugged."

The Puerto Rican rap fusion band Calle 13, which bagged 13 nominations, and Colombian singer-songwriter Carlos Vives with six, are favored to be the top prizewinners at the Latin music gala.

Spain's Enrique Iglesias and the Cuban Descemer Bueno got five nominations each, while artists Marc Anthony, Jorge Drexler, Prince Royce and Gente de Zona each have four.

The Latin Recording Academy will launch a year-long celebration for the 15th anniversary of the Latin Grammy Awards in November at the gala to present this year's prizes, academy president Gabriel Abaroa Jr. said in an interview with Efe earlier this month.

"We're thinking about beginning the festivities on the day of the awards and continuing to celebrate them during the entire year up to the 16th anniversary," said Abaroa, who for the past 10 years has headed the institution comprised of members of the music industry.

He said that the anniversary will be celebrated "as it deserves," after the ceremony was begun in 2000 in Los Angeles to recognize Ibero-American musical talent.
