Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday repeated his call for social responsibility to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases, mainly in Havana.
On his Twitter account, the president shared a summary of Friday's meeting of top government officials to analyze the fresh Covid-19 outbreak in western Cuba.
At the meeting, the top government authorities acknowledged the need to increase people's perception of risk and speed up the hospitalization of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Cuba, as indispensable elements to control de disease.
Havana Governor Reinaldo Garcia noted that conditions are being prepared to implement new measures in the Cuban capital as of September 1 in order to reduce people's mobility.
