Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today exposed the fascist, criminal, and genocidal nature of the US administration, following an executive order by the magnate installed in the White House that escalates the blockade.

On his X account, the Cuban leader criticized that under a deceitful and hollow pretext, "peddled by those who make politics and enrich themselves at the expense of our people's suffering," President Trump persists in his intended policy of "suffocating the Cuban economy by imposing tariffs on countries that sovereignly trade oil with Cuba."

Rebutting US Narrative on the Blockade
Díaz-Canel pointed out that such a measure proves the harshness of the policy against the largest of the Antilles, asking on the social network, "Didn't the Secretary of State and his clowns say the blockade didn't exist? Where are those who bore with their false stories that it's a simple 'bilateral trade embargo'?"

Furthermore, the Cuban head of state evaluated and disqualified in strong terms those who incite the blockade against Cuba, while exposing the nature of the executive order by stating, "this new measure reveals the fascist, criminal, and genocidal nature of a clique that has hijacked the interests of the US people for purely personal purposes."

Context of the Executive Order and International Condemnation
The previous day, President Donald Trump signed an executive order declaring a "national emergency" regarding the Antillean nation, through which he plans to impose tariffs on countries that sell or supply oil to Cuba.

On the same social network, Cuba's Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced the new escalation in the US blockade against the island aimed at suffocating it through energy pressure—a stance he firmly condemned.

"Now it proposes to impose a total blockade on fuel supplies to our country. To justify it, it relies on a long list of lies that attempt to present Cuba as a threat it is not," he stated on his X account.

In response to the denunciation of this brutal act of aggression against Cuba and its people, expressions of rejection of this policy are arriving from various parts of the world, while solidarity organizations and groups show their support for the Caribbean nation.
