The National Revolutionary Police (PNR) carried out operations in several provinces across the country in recent days to combat the illegal sale of medicines and the clandestine slaughter of animals, according to a report from the institutional profile Héroes de Azul on Facebook.

During searches conducted in Camagüey, pharmaceuticals intended for illicit sale were seized. This practice endangers public health and violates current sanitary regulations.

The actions also included the detection of illegal slaughterhouses in Guanabacoa, Havana, and the confiscation of meat products obtained through unauthorized animal slaughter, which affects food security and social order.

Those responsible for these activities were handed over to the relevant authorities for corresponding legal proceedings, in accordance with institutional reports.

Citizen participation was essential in identifying these incidents, with reports enabling police forces to act more swiftly and effectively.

Authorities from the Ministry of the Interior emphasized that these measures are part of the national strategy to combat crime and protect the most vulnerable sectors, in coordination with economic and sanitary control agencies.

The recent operations confirm the Cuban state's commitment to upholding the law and strengthening security in a scenario marked by economic and social challenges.
