Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Announces Resignation, Lashes Out at "Washington Machinery"

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene announced her resignation on Friday amidst the conflict with former U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing the government of failing to protect the interests of the American people.

In her resignation letter, she stated, "I have fought harder than almost any elected Republican to get Donald Trump elected... Meanwhile, the majority of the establishment Republicans, who secretly hate him, stabbed him in the back and never defended him from anything, have been welcomed after the elections."

She further added that "the political-industrial complex of both parties is tearing this country apart, and that no elected leader like me is capable of stopping the Washington machinery from gradually destroying our country."
