Russia is open to cooperation with all countries, particularly with its allies, President Vladimir Putin stated today during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"We are open to collaborating with all countries of the world, especially those who wish to work with us, with our friends," the Russian leader said, emphasizing that Moscow has never denied cooperation to individuals and companies from other nations seeking to engage with Russia.
The head of state also proposed the establishment of a unified preferential regime across the entire Arctic and Far East regions starting in 2027, aimed at stimulating business activity in these areas.
"Now, considering the successful experience accumulated, I propose taking a decisive step: while maintaining conditions for current investors, introducing a single preferential business regime across the entire—and I emphasize, entire—territory of the Far East and the Arctic," Putin highlighted.
He further stated that this measure, intended to simplify the use of support tools for entrepreneurs, companies, and new projects, should be implemented starting January 1, 2027.
The tenth edition of the EEF is taking place in the Russian city of Vladivostok from September 3 to 6, 2025, under the theme "Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity."
