Cuban foreign minister denounces Marco Rubio's complicity in the genocide in Gaza

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has denounced through his X account, the complicity of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the genocide perpetrated by Israel against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Cuban foreign minister noted that Rubio's funding from the "pro-Israeli lobby," his opposition to an independent Palestinian state, his criticism of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, and his unconditional support for Israeli policies of extermination against Palestine are widely recognized.

According to official data, since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza in October 2023, more than 54,000 Palestinians have been killed and 123,000 injured, in addition to thousands missing under the rubble.

Benjamin Netanyahu's government launched a total blockade of the territory on March 2, causing a profound crisis due to the lack of food, medicine, fuel, and other vital supplies.

Faced with a wave of international criticism, Israel recently began distributing aid, on a limited basis and outside the United Nations system.  This measure drew condemnation from numerous countries, which denounced the measure's selectivity.
