Havana to host international event on design and intelligence

From May 27 to 30, the Havana Convention Center will host FORMA 2025, an event that will bring together designers, academics, creatives and entrepreneurs from 10 countries to discuss the impact of design and the development of intelligences in professional training.
According to Cuba's Ministry of Higher Education (MES by its Spanish acronym) on its Facebook profile, the meeting, organized by the Higher Institute of Design (ISDi by its Spanish acronym), is part of the International Scientific Convention of the University of Havana “SaberUH 2025”, as part of the celebrations for the 298th anniversary of this prestigious institution.
The post explains that the event will focus on the theme "Design and Intelligences", promoting the analysis of the relationship between artificial intelligence and the different forms of human intelligence -emotional, logical, linguistic and mathematical- to preserve the essence of design as a creative exercise.
Over four days, they report, master conferences, symposiums, forums and workshops will be held, with the participation of 12 international personalities of design and communication, among them Ligia Lopes (Portugal), Xavier Bermudez (Mexico), Daniel Wolkowicz and Diego Vainesman (Argentina) and Pablo Iturralde (Ecuador), recognized for their careers in different areas of design.
In addition to the theoretical sessions, the event will include exhibitions, signing of collaboration agreements and presentations of social impact projects, such as the "Cartelón" program, the "V de Venduta" initiative, and design strategies of international brands such as Havana Club Internacional and Meliá Internacional, according to the post.
As one of the most prestigious meetings in the region, FORMA 2025 will feature 130 scientific presentations and the presence of professionals from Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, the United States, Portugal and Cuba.
