Delegations Arrive for Cuba Salud 2025 Event

Foreign delegations began arriving today for the 5th International Cuba Salud 2025 Convention and associated events, scheduled from April 21 to 25.

Ministers and high-ranking officials will represent their nations at the convention, which opens Monday at Havana’s Convention Center. The event includes the 16th Health for All Trade Fair and the 2nd Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair at Pabexpo, among other forums.

Dr. Ileana Morales Suárez, Director of Science and Technological Innovation at the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), stated that Cuba Salud 2025 aims to promote science, innovation, and intersectoral collaboration to address current health challenges.

Prestigious university rectors will attend, including representatives from the People’s Republic of China, this year’s guest of honor.

Cambodia will participate for the first time, with a health ministry delegation arriving Friday, reported Prensa Latina.

Among foreign attendees are ministers and officials who trained at Cuba’s Latin American School of Medicine, including Luther Castillo, Honduras’ Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Castillo recently shared his experiences on President Díaz-Canel’s podcast Desde la Presidencia, discussing Cuba’s medical cooperation and U.S. efforts to discredit it.
