Cuba thanks Africa for its support against the U.S. blockade

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today thanked the peoples and leaders of African nations for their permanent support for the island in the face of the U.S. economic, commercial, and financial blockade.

In his Twitter profile, the top representative of Cuban diplomacy highlighted that the XXXVI Summit of the African Union (AU) adopted, for the 14th consecutive time, a resolution rejecting the illegal U.S. blockade.

The AU Heads of State Assembly, held in Ethiopia, culminated today after two days of debates with the theme Accelerating the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Zone, aimed at creating a single market, as well as an area of free movement of people and monetary union.

Constituted by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government, the AU summit is the supreme decision-making body, whose responsibility is to determine policies, set priorities and adopt its annual program. (Source: Prensa Latina)
