Cuba urged at UNESCO for full access to ICTs

Cuban expert Hilda Saladrigas on Thursday urged for inclusive access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), while speaking at a UNESCO Forum.
At the 33rd session of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Program for the Development of Communication (IPDC), Saladrigas, also University of Havana (UH) professor, called for overcoming inequalities that burden greater ICTs equity.
Saladrigas pointed out the ICTs benefits at a global level in terms of information and education.
In her speech, she also acknowledged the IPDC´s works, a UN multilateral mechanism aimed at mobilizing States in promoting and developing media in Southern nations.
