Cuba reported 513 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths

Havana, Feb 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Wednesday reported 513 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths due to complications associated with the disease in the last 24 hours.
With these figures, the country accumulates 1,066,927 contagions and 8,494 deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, according to the daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
Thus, Cuba’s lethality rate is 0.80 percent, much lower than 1.38 percent in the world and 1.78 percent in the Americas, the Ministry informed.
The report added that 8,563 patients have been admitted in hospitals or at home, including 5,748 suspected cases, 67 under epidemiological surveillance and 2,714 confirmed cases.
According to the Minsap report, of those infected, 2,715 maintain a stable clinical evolution and 33 are being treated in intensive care units: 11 in a critical condition and 22 who are seriously ill.
