Filmmakers from both countries talked about skills and challenges of the "seventh art" in this capital during the first binational forum of creators dedicated to that speciality.
Actions will be planned this week to implement during the second half of 2010 and the coming years to strengthen Venezuelan and Cuban film, Patricia Kaiser, one of the event's coordinators, emphasized.
She commented that the search for agreements and challenges opens the way for joint productions with the participation of mixed creative groups.
Luis Alberto Gonzalez, vice president of the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) affirmed in declarations to the press that the workshops organized in Caracas suggest a sort of reconceptualization of issues, along with an identification of potential and the emergence of new proposals.
The first Cuban and Venezuelan filmmakers' forum will conclude on Friday and films made in both countries are being screened in that context.
