Cuban Five Salute 26th of July  

The Cuban Five, antiterrorist fighters unjustly imprisoned in the United States, sent their greetings to the Cuban people for the 26th of July, the 57th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons.

Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernández and René González have been held in U.S. prisons since 1998 for informing on the plans of terrorist groups to attack Cuba from within the United States.

In a brief message, Ramón Labañino said he was proud to be part of an unbreakable nation, known for its combativeness.

For his part, Fernando described the 26th of July -- Day of National Rebelliousness -- as a date of remembrance, tribute, commitment and also of joy.

He congratulated the people of Villa Clara province, 270 km from the capital, whose efforts in every sphere won them the honor of hosting the national 26th of July ceremony.

Antonio, in his message, said the patriotic holiday was very stirring for him, and he sent greetings of revolutionary reaffirmation.
